Lady Lumberjack Filmstrip

The Lady Lumberjack: Dorothea Mitchell was one of the last filmstrips produced by the National Film Board of Canada. It was no sooner completed when the advent and overwhelming popularity of the VCR made cumbersome mediums like filmstrips redundant. Fortunately, filmstrips are Internet friendly.

After thirty years in storage, The Lady Lumberjack: Dorothea Mitchell is now available online. Produced by Joe MacDonald, directed by Claire Helman, researched and written by Elinor Barr, with art by Paul Liberovsky, The Lady Lumberjack: Dorothea Mitchell is yours to discover in a story book format. Everyone can enjoy The Lady Lumberjack: Dorothea Mitchell filmstrip, and it can be used as a learning tool for students of all ages.

We wish to thank the National Film Board of Canada for its generous support of this effort to bring the story of Dorothea Mitchell's life to audiences everywhere.
